I really like this slicer. It’s easy to use and it folds up flat so it fits in a drawer. It has a cup on the back for catching what you slice and a guard so you don’t slice your fingers. I’ve used it a few times and haven’t had any issues.

Previous to this one, I had a cutter that sliced veggies really great….including my fingers. Yes, you heard it!, I had a couple accidents with bad cuts. When I say bad cuts, I’m talking about slicing the ends of my fingers with nails and all, really, really, painful. This is just the best of all! No more accidents my hands are safe. In addition, cleaning is a breeze. I love this gadget, it works perfectly for my needs. I totally recommend it.

o clean it, I found it is best to turn it around backwards and upside down and then run water from the back down along the blade. If a piece is stuck, you can also change the blade from the one that you are using to the other one (top lever) or you can always lock the blade. The levers are confusing. I usually only switch the top lever and the width (full off is matchstick/ French fries (counter clockwise, if I remember correctly) and full on is slices (clockwise). You also have to make sure to completely snap in the food tray, otherwise the food will get everywhere, but you will feel it snap in. I really like it. It works well and I would recommend it (especially after seriously cutting my hand with a very expensive slicer). I have used it with cucumbers, potatoes, parsnips, carrots.

I have a fancier cutter/slicer, but this one is now my fave. It’s safer to use. You don’t have to change blades. You do need to keep the manual, so you can learn how to set it for the cuts/slices you want. It’s easy to clean and folds up for easy storage in my kitchen drawer. Very glad so bought this.
